Architecture
The existing building set the direction from the beginning.
Original architectural details have been preserved, allowing the history of the space to remain visible alongside new additions. Openings and transitions connect the different rooms, creating a gradual movement through the bakery.
Materials
Dark wood, granite and terrazzo give the space weight and warmth. Cooler surfaces and more precise detailing create contrast, while ceramics and tiles introduce texture.
The materials are tactile and intended to change through use. Stone becomes polished, edges soften and surfaces develop character over time.
