Simple brewing

Our single serve coffee bags are a simple and elegant way to present the coffee we find most exciting, removing many brewing variables, and allowing quality and character to shine. Individual doses are ground and sealed in nitrogen-flushed packages, maintaining the clear aromatic character of freshly ground coffee, for over a year after roasting. Add filtered water to enjoy one of our picks of the season.

Chito

This lot is a community lot made from the work of farmers across the Chito sub-region, in the far south of Ecuador, bordered by Peru to the east and the Mayo River to the west. The town itself sits at the bottom of a valley, surrounded by small farms in the hills, most averaging less than a hectare and planted mainly with Typica. Chito sits at around 1600 masl.

The lot is part of a long-term project by CafExporto, run by Juan Peña of Hacienda La Papaya, to transfer more value to producers in rural Ecuador. Because individual farms are too small to export alone, CafExporto brought together the highest quality lots across the sub-region into this community lot, with clean floral aromas followed by crisp citrus and a delicate tea-like finish.
