The TDS Meter is used to measure Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water. In coffee brewing, mineral content plays a central role in extraction, influencing clarity, acidity, and balance in the cup.

Measuring TDS provides a way to understand and control water composition. Tap water can vary significantly, often containing high levels of minerals that affect extraction. By measuring both untreated and filtered water, adjustments can be made to reach a more suitable mineral balance.

Used as part of a brewing setup, the meter supports a more controlled approach to water. It can be used to evaluate water before brewing or to fine-tune mineral content using Mineral Drops.

The meter also measures temperature, adding an additional level of control when preparing water for brewing.
