The 60° design

The V60 takes its name from the 60° angle of the dripper, shaping how water moves through the coffee bed. The conical form directs flow toward the centre, increasing contact time for a more even extraction, while spiral ribs maintain airflow between the filter and the dripper.

Originally introduced by Hario in 2005, the V60 is used across cafés and home brewing for its ability to highlight clarity and variation in the cup. The plastic version offers a lightweight and durable approach, suited for everyday use and brewing on the go.
